Given,

Two figures are in ratio 5:6.

When 5 is added to both the figures the new ratio becomes 6:7

To Find,

The figures.

Solution,

In the first case, the ratio of two figures is 5/6

So,

let it be 5x and 6x

When 5 is added to both the figures

(5x+5)/(6x+5) = 6/7

7(5x+5) = 6(6x+5)

35x+35 = 36x+30

x = 5

So, the two figures will be 5(5) = 25 and 6(5) = 30

Hence, the two figures are 25 and 30.

To Find; Both figures

Solution; It is given that the two figures are in the ratio of 5:6.if 5 is added to both the figures the new ratio becomes 6:7

Let one figure =5x

Other figure= 6x

Question 5 is added to both the figures

5x+5/6x+5=6/7

7(5x+5)=6(6x+5)
