Magnitude = 2√3n  & Direction = 90°  to 2n

Step-by-step explanation:

Two forces 2n and 4n are inclined at an angle of 120 deg

To Simplify let say 2n is along +ve x axis  & 4n is inclined at 120 deg

i - along x axis

j - along y axis

2n   =  2n  i  + 0 j

4n = 4n Cos120 i  + 4nSin120 j

= 4n(-0.5)i  + 4n(√3 / 2) j

= -2n i  + 2√3n j

Resultant =  2n  i  + 0 j + (-2n i  + 2√3n j)

=  0 i  + 2√3n j

= 2√3n j

Magnitude = 2√3n

Direction = 90°  to 2n
