Given :

Two forces are given :

F_1=6\ N and F_2=8\ N .

Also , both the forces are perpendicular to each other .

Therefore , \theta=90^o .

To Find :

The resultant force .

Solution :

We , know resultant force is given by :

F_r=\sqrt{F_1^2+F_2^2+2F_1F_2cos\ \theta}

We know , cos\ 90^o=0

Therefore , F_r=\sqrt{F_1^2+F_2^2}\\

Putting value of F_1 and F_2 in above equation .

We get :

F_r=\sqrt{6^2+8^2}\\\\F_r=10\ N

Therefore , the resultant force is 10 N .
