Two forces act on an object in opposite directions to produce a net force
of 200N. If the magnitude of the larger force is 215N, calculate the
magnitude of the unknown force. Also, state the direction in which the
object will move.

The magnitude of larger force is 200N

The net force so 215N

The magnitude of unknown force is 15N

And the force act in the same direction as that of the larger force and they add upto 215.

Since the both force act in same direction the object moves in the direction of the force exerted.

We can guess that the other force might be 415 and given force is 200

Then also net force will be 415-200=215

but in this case unknown force is greater than given force which is against the information given in your question.
