Answer:

Given:

2 force of 1 N and P N are acting on a point such that magnitude of resultant is 1N . The resultant is at an angle of 90° to 1N vector.

To find:

  • Value of P N
  • Value if Angle between 1N and P N

Calculation:

Please refer to the attached photo to understand better .

Magnitude of P can be found out easily by using Pythagoras Theorem.

 \boxed{ \bold{P =  \sqrt{ {1}^{2} +  {1}^{2}  }  =  \sqrt{2} }}

So magnitude of P = √2 N

Now considering ∆ACD , we can say that

 \cos( \theta)  =  \dfrac{base}{hypotenuse}

 =  >  \cos( \theta)  =  \dfrac{1}{ \sqrt{2} }

 =  >  \theta = 45 \degree

So total angle between 1 N vector and P N vector will be :

 \boxed{ \bold{ \angle(DAB) = (90 + 45) = 135 \degree}}
