i think the answer is 7.57567675  do  like this   144 +64 = 208 do the square root of the answer and multiply it with sin30

therefore by parallelogram addition law
resultant, R=$\sqrt{ 12^{2}+ 8^{2} +2*12*8*cos60 } \\ \sqrt{304} \\ 17.435 (approx)$
