Step-by-step Explanation:

Given that:Two friends Sahil and Vijay decided to donate money in an orphanage. The difference of three times the money given by Sahil and two times the money given by Vijay was ₹6000.

To find: Represent this situation graphically in two variables and hence find the amount donated by sahil if vijay donated ₹ 1500.

Solution:To represent the given situation in linear equation in two variables

Let the amount donated by Sahil is x Rupees

and the amount donated by Vijay is y rupees

So, 3 times the money donated by Sahil is 3x rupees

and 2 times of the money donated by Vijay is 2x rupees

Thus,ATQ equation is

\boxed{\bold{3x - 2y = 6000}}\\

Plotting graph :

Put different value of x,to calculate value of y

put\:x=4000\\\\-2y=-6000\\\\y=3000\\\\\bold{(4000,3000)}\\\\put\:\:x = 6000 \\ \\ 3 \times 6000 - 2y = 6000 \\\\ - 2y = 6000 - 18000 \\ \\ y = 6000 \\ \\ \bold{(6000,6000)} \\ \\put\:y=0\\\\3x=6000\\\\x=2000\\\\\bold{(2000,0)}\\\\

Now,make a straight line to join these points.

To find amount donated by sahil if vijay donated ₹ 1500,

put y= 1500

\:y=1500\\\\3x-2\times1500=6000\\\\3x-3000=6000\\\\3x=9000\\\\x=\frac{9000}{3}\\\\x=3000\\\\

Amount donated by Sahil is 3000 Rs.

Hope it helps you.
