Two Gentlemen of Verona written by A.J Cronin is a heart touching story of two young boys- Nicola and Jacapo, who were striving hard for money.
Nicola and Jacapo, both were hard working and devoted to their work. In life, they had suffered a lot. Their elder sister Lucia was suffering from Tuberculosis of spine. They had lost nearly everything- their home and their father. Now they did not want to lose their beloved sister. So, they admitted her to a hospital and started doing job in order to earn money for the treatment of their sister.
They worked day and night without complaning. They were always ready for any kind of work. They were selfless. They neither eat much nor they wear good clothes. They didn't spent a penny on them. They had sacrificed their comfort, pleasure, sleep and even their childhood.
There is a lot to learn from the two boys - Selfless devotion, love , hardwork , sacrifice, maturity and the most important - not to lose hope even in the most difficult situation. The story was captivating and heart touching. It presents Nicola and Jacapo as a hope to humanity. The real humanity is reflected by them.
