Answer:

Proved 40√3 m

Step-by-step explanation:

two girls on either side of a cell tower of 30 M height observe it top at the angles of elevation 30° and 60° respectively then show that the distance between two girls is 40 root 3 metres

Height of Tower = 30 m

Girl A - angle of elevation = 30°

Distance of Girl A from Tower Base = A m

tan30° = H/A

=> 1/√3 = 30/A

=> A = 30√3

Girl B - angle of elevation = 60°

Distance of Girl A from Tower Base = B m

tan60° = H/B

=> √3 = 30/B

=> B = 30/√3

As girls are on either side of towers so distance between towers

= 30√3 + 30/√3

= √3 ( 30 + 30/3)

= √3 ( 30 + 10)

= 40√3 m
