Answer:

18kms, 6 Hours

Step-by-step explanation:

Before madhu starts to walk sirish has walked for 1.5 hours (1 Hour and 30 Minutes) so the distance he travelled at 3km per hour speed is

=3 * 1.5 = 4.5kms

we know Distance = speed * time

so lets assume they travel for time T for madhu to catch up to sirish (since he is fast walker @4kms per hour)

so total distance travelled sirish = 4.5 + (3 * T) = 4.5 + 3T

Distance travelled by Madhu     = 4 * T = 4T

by then the distance travelled by both of them must be equal so

4.5 + 3T = 4T then T = 4.5 (time travelled from 6.30 A.M is 4.5 Hours)

so distance travelled = sirish = 4.5 + 3T = 4.5 + 3*4.5 = 4.5 + 13.5 = 18kms

Distance travelled by Madhu = 4T = 4 * 4.5 = 18Kms

Time travelled by Sirish = 1.5 + 4.5 = 6 Hours

(Alternatively he travelled for 6 Hours @ 3 Km/h = 6 * 3 = 18 kms)
