Solution :-

Let us assume that , $ x are invested in first investement .

So,

→ Profit on first investment = 10% of x = (10 * x)/100 = $ 0.1x

and,

→ Second investement = $ (50000 - x)

→ Profit in second investment = $ 0.12(50000 - x)

A/q,

→ 0.1x + 0.12(50000 - x) = 5250

→ 0.1x + 6000 - 0.12x = 5250

→ 0.02x = 750

→ x = $ 37500 (Ans.)

therefore,

→ Amount initially put into first investment = $ 37500

→ Amount initially put into second investment = $ 12500
