as the angles of the two isosceles are equal. then by AAA similarity the given triangle are similar.
now, using the theorem which state that:
THE AREAS OF TWO SIMILAR TRIANGLE ARE IN THE RATIO OF SQUARES OF TYE CORRESPONDING SIDES.
