hi mate,

Let the sugar be x

Let the tea be y:

First equation:

2x + 1/2 y = 275

Solve for y in this equaiton:

4x+y=550

y=550-4x (subsitution)

Second equation:

3x + 1y=500

Subsitute for y in this equation:

3x+(550-4x)=500

-x=500 -550

x=50

y=550-4(50)

y=350

for two kg.

x = 50×2=100

y = 350×2=700

Hence, the sugar costs RS. 100 and the tea costs RS.700 for two kg respectively.

i hope it helps you.

\huge{\underline{\underline{Solution:-}}}

Given that :-

\sf\implies Let the sugar be x

\sf\implies Let the tea be y

Then,

If,

 2x + \frac{1}{2}y = 275 ...........(i)eq.  \\ \\ </p><p>\frac{4x + y}{2} = 275 \\ \\ </p><p>4x + y = 275 × 2 \\ \\ </p><p>4x + y = 550 \\ \\ </p><p>y = 550 - 4x

y = 550 - 4x ..........(ii)eq.

Then, in second case;

3x + y = 500 .........(iii)eq.

Find out,

2x = sugar

2y = tea

Then according to questions;

now putting the value of y on (iii)eq.

3x + y = 500

3x + 550 - 4x = 500

3x - 4x = 500 - 550

-x = -50

x = 50

\huge{\boxed{\red{x = 50} }}

Now again ,

Putting the value of x on (iii)eq.

3x + y = 500

3 × 50 + y = 500

150 + y = 500

y = 500 - 150

y = 350

\huge{\boxed{\red{y = 350} }}

Therefore,

2x + 2y = ?

= 2 × 50 + 2 × 350

= 100 + 700

= 800

Thus, the answer will be

\huge{\boxed{\red{ 2x + 2y = 800} }}
