Two lines L and M intersect at a point O. If angle x = 100° , find the measure of angles 1 ,angle 2 and angle 3.​

Answer:

if we draw these intersecting lines, it would look like letter X.

there will be your angles, one on north one on west one on south and one at east.

let the top one angle be x (as mentioned in the question).

therefore it's measure would be 100 degree.

the angle opposite to it (that is the south one) will also be 100 degree. because vertically opposite angles will be equal

the top angle and the east angle will form 180 degree because they are linear pair.

so, x + east angle = 180 degree

east angle = 180 -x

=80 degrees.

west angle = east angle (vertically opposite angles)

so west angle = 80 degree.

now name the angles as:

angle 1 = east angle = 80 degrees

angle 2 = south angle = 100 degrees

angle 3= west angle=80 degrees

angle 4= northern angle =100 degrees =x
