Answer:

two parallelograms ABCD and e FCB on the same base and between the same parallels and DC.

we need to prove that area (ABCD) = area (EFCD)

in Δ ADE and Δ BCF,

/ DAE = / CBF ( corresponding angles)

/ AED =/ BFC ( corresponding angles)

AD = BC ( opposite sides of the parallelogram ABCD.

ΔADE = ΔBCF ( by ASA rule )

therefore,

area ADC = area BCF( congruent figure have equal areas.)

now, area (ABCD) = area (ADE) + area (EDCB)

= area (BCF) + area (EDCB)

=area(EFCD)

so, parallelogram ABCD and ABCD are equal in area.
