Heya friend,

Here we go :

The major drawbacks of solar heating devices are (choose any two) :-

1. All solar heating devices cannot be used during the night time or on a cloudy day.

2. Some of them are only able to heat the food, they can not perform functions like frying or grilling and they can not even make chapatis.

3. It takes a long time to cook the food.

4. The performance of solar devices depends on the intensity of solar radiation. Hence, cooking time of solar devices may vary from time to time.

5. The direction of reflector of solar devices has to be adjusted frequently.

6. Solar devices have limited uses in areas where solar radiations are less in number like  - the polar regions or in dense forests.

Besides these disadvantages, they have many crucial advantages :-

1. They save fuel as they work totally on solar radiations.

2. They does not lead to pollution.

3. The nutrients of the food are preserved while being heated by a solar device.

Thank you,
