Explanation:

here m1 = 1 g ; m2 = 4 g

and they r moving with equal linear momentum (p) then ,

p1 = p2

m1v1 = m2v2

1×v1=4×v2

v1/v2 = 4

And K.E. of both the masses are

k.e. = 1 \div 2 \times m1 {v1}^{2}

k.e.2 = 1 \div 2 \times m2 {v2}^{2}

K.E.1/K.E.2 = m1v1^2 / m2v2^2

= m1/m2 × (v1/v2)^2

= 1/4 × 4^2

= 1/4 × 16

= 4

hence, K.E.1/K.E.2 = 4 .
