Gravitational force between two objects is given by G = m1m2/r² ( m1,m2 is masses of sphere resp. and r is distance b/w them.)

Here, If two spheres are in close contact with each other then distance of sepration b/w them is r+r equal to d ( diameter of sphere).

So, G = m1m2/d².
