two no. are in the ratio 10:3 .If their difference is 35 , find the no.

let the two numbers be 10 x and 3X
10x - 3 x is equal to 35
7 x is equal to 35
that is X is equal to 5
therefore the numbers are
10x=50
3x=15

Let the no.s be 10x and 3x.

10x- 3x= 35
7x= 35
x=35/7
x=5
The the first no.= 10x= 10×5=50
The second no.=3x=3×5=15
