The two number are in ratio 7:17
Let the ratio be x
So, Numbers are 7x and 17x
Now 7 is added to both the ratio becomes 2:3

So, Numbers = 7 x = 7 * 7 = 49 , 17x = 17 *7 = 119
Hence the numbers are 49 and 119

Correct Question:-

Two numbers are in the ratio 7 : 11. If 7 is added to each of the number the ratio becomes 2 : 3. Find the numbers.

Answer:-

Given:

Two numbers are in the ratio 7 : 11.

Let the numbers be 7x , 11x.

And,

If 7 is added to each of the number the ratio becomes 2 : 3.

→ (7x + 7) / (11x + 7) = 2/3

On cross multiplication we get,

→ 3(7x + 7) = 2(11x + 7)

→ 21x + 21 = 22x + 14

→ 21 - 14 = 22x - 21x

→ 7 = x

→ First number = 7x = 7 * 7 = 49

→ Second number = 11x = 11 * 7 = 77

Therefore, the required numbers are 49 and 77.
