Let one number be 5x

So, the other number is 3x

According To Question,

5x - 3x = 18

2x = 18

x = 18/2 = 9

First Number = 5x = 5(9) = 45

Second Number = 3x = 3(9) = 27

So the numbers are 45 and 27.

Hope it helps....

Putting the value of x

5x-3x = 18
