Let the two numbers be 5x and 6x.

5x + 6x = 154

11x = 154

x = 154/11

x = 14

Therefore the two numbers are 5x = 5*14 = 70 and 6x = 6*14 = 84.

Proof: 70 + 84 = 154

70/84 (When divided by 14) = 5/6 = 5:6

Hope it helps :)
