Question :-

  • Two numbers are in the ratio 3 : 2. If they differ by 10, what are the numbers?

Answer :-

  • The numbers are 30 and 20.

To find :-

  • The numbers.

Solution :-

  • Let the numbers be 3x and 2x, as they are in the ratio 3 : 2.

It is given that :-

  • The numbers differ by 10.

-----------------------------------------------------------

Therefore,

 \implies \sf3x - 2x = 10

Subtracting 2x from 3x,

  \sf\implies x = 10

 \\

Hence, the numbers are :-

 \bf3x = 3 \times 10 = 30.

 \bf2x = 2 \times 10 = 20.
