let one number be x and other be y
so the fraction is x/y.
but x/y = 3/5
=>5x-3y=0....[1]
and according to question
(x+8)/(y+8)=2/3
=>3x+24=2y+16
=> 2y-3x=8.....[2]
by elemination method we get
y=8
substituting the value of y in equation [1]
so 5x-24=0
5x=24
x=4.8
hence two numbers are 4.8 and 8
so the fraction is x/y.
