Here is your answer ----
Let the numbers be 2x and 3x respectively.
Ac/q
=> (2x + 6)/(3x + 6) = 3/4
=> 4 (2x + 6) = 3 (3x + 6)
=> 8x + 24 = 9x + 18
=> 8x - 9x = 18 - 24
=> -x = -6
=> x = 6
Smaller number = 2x = 12
