Let the numbers be 7x and 3x. Then,
according to question,
(7x + 5):(3x + 5) = 2:1
=> (7x + 5)/(3x + 5) = 2
=> (7x + 5) = 2(3x + 5)
=> 7x + 5 = 6x + 10
=> 7x - 6x = 10 - 5
=> x = 5
Hence , 1st number = 7 × 5 = 35
2nd number = 3 × 5 = 15.
