two numbers are in the ratio 7:5.if they differ by 6 find the number

Answer:

Let first number = 7x
Let second number = 5x
Their difference = 6

According to question:

⇛7x - 5x = 6

⇛2x = 6

⇛x = 6/2

⇛x = 3

First number = 7x = 7(3) = 21

Second number = 5x = 5(3) = 15

21 and 15 are the numbers
