Two numbers are in the ratio 9:2. If the smaller number is 320, find the larger number.

clearly the smaller ratio is 2

first let the numbers be 9x and 2x

therefore 2x = 320

x= 160

therefore larger number = 9×160

= 1440

The smaller no. Have smaller ratio. So, 2nd is the smaller no. i. e.320.

So let them be 2x and 9x

A.t.q.

2x=320

X= 320/2

X=160

Therefore, 9x = 160 *9

=1440
