let the first number be 4x

let the second number be 3x(coz ratio is in the form 4:3)

4x+3x=18(given)

7x=18

x=18/7

now,4x=4(18/7)

=10.28

3x=3(18/7)

=7.72

VERIFICATION

4x+3x=1

=10.28+7.72

=18

THEREFOR THE ANSWER VERIFIES THE EQUATION.
