Area of a trapezium is 1/2x sum of parallel side x distance b/w them

To find the distance between parallel sides:

Draw perpendicular from A and B to the opposite parallel side.

Therefore the third side is divided in the ratio 5:10:5.

Therefore two right triangles are obtained. By Pythagoras theorem

13x13- 5x5 the whole square = 12

Therefore area if trapezium = 1/2 x 25+10 x 12

= 35×6

=210 sq. Units
