two parks have the same perimeter.one is square of side 36 metre and the other is a ractangle of length 40metre.which park has the greater area and By how much?

perimeter of square = perimeter of rectangle

4 \times s \: = 2( \: l + b \: ) \\ 4 \times 36 = 2(40 + b) \\ 144 = 80 + 2b \\ 64 = 2b \\ b = 32
area of square = side × side
36 × 36
= 1296 m
area of rectangle = length × breadth
= 32 × 40
1280 m

Difference between areas
1296 - 1280
16m^2

Thus square park has more area by 16m^2
