Two particles a and b start moving with velocities 20m /s and 30 root 2 m/s along x axis and at an angle 45 with x axis resp in xy plane from origin the relative velocity of a with respect to b?

Relative velocity of a w.r.t to b :
Vab=√(va²+vb²-2vavbcosθ)
=√[(20²+( 30√2)²-(2x20x30cos45°)]
=√(400+1800-1200
=31.6m/s
