Two persons can paint a wall in 12 days. The first
person works alone, p
the wall in 10 days
and then he leaves. If the second person was to paint
the remaining wall alone, in how many days will he
complete the job?​

let work done in 1 day by first person = 1/x

and work done in 1 day by other person = 1/y

1/x + 1/y = 1/10  ---------- eqn 1

1/x = 1/12 --------- eqn 2

eqn 2 in eqn 1

therefore,

1/12 + 1/y = 1/10

1/y = 1/10 - 1/12

1/y = 6/60 - 5/60

1/y = 1/60

y= 60 days
