Two persons start moving from two points A and B in opposite directions towards each other. One person starts moving from A at a speed of 4 km/h and meets the other person B after 6 hours. If the distance between A and B is 42 km , find the speed of the other person.

Total distance covered by A = 4×6 = 24 km

Total distance between A and B = 42 km

so B have to cover 42-24 km to meet A

= 18 km

now he must have covered the path in 6 hrs as same as A

so 18/6 = 3km/ hr

his speed is 3km/h
