Answer:

given = A = 3+j1

            B = 4+j3

to find = a) A + B

             b) A - B

             C) AB

             d) A/B

Express the results in both polar and rectangular co-ordinates.

solution :-

A +B =  (3 + j ) + (4 + 3j ) = 7 + 4j

A - B = (3 - j ) - (4 + 3j ) = -1-4j

AB = ( 3 +i ) (4 + 3j ) =  12 - 3 + j(13)

AB = 9+13j

A / B = 15 - 5j /25 =  3/ 5 - 1/5 j

and polar form

m = tanθ tan⁻¹ (y/ n  )

θ = tan⁻¹ (-1/3)
