Two photons approach each other, their relative speed will be ???? a)zero b) equal to c or c) 2c........there are 3 given options....so which one is correct??? and prove it also please ???????

The photons are carriers of energy in an electromagnetic radiation and in vacuum they travel at a fixed speed of Magnitude 299792458 metres/second.

And this speed is often for convenience denoted by 'c'.

Now, I wouldn't like to prove much of the math that's going on, but rather intuitively answer this, the relative speed of the other photon as seen from the first photon will be 'c+c' that is 2c.

Simple matter of fact is that when we're in a car on a highway, the vehicles going opposite to us, look to be moving faster towards us that means relatively speeds add up when the two objects are approaching each other and subtract in Magnitude when moving in the same direction.

And hence, a photon moving at c speed observing another photon approaching towards it with speed c will see the other photon coming at speed 2c towards it.
