Length of the rope is 11m
Length of both the pieces is 2 3/5m and 3 3/10m
sum of both the pieces =
 = 2 \frac{3}{5} + 3\frac{3}{10}
 = \frac{13}{5} + \frac{33}{10}
 = \frac{26}{10} + \frac{33}{10}
 = \frac{59}{10}

Sum of both the pieces is to be subtracted from the l of the rope =
11 - 59/10
110/10 - 59/10
51/10m

hence the Length of the rope after cutting both the pieces is 51/10m or 5.1m
