and a waste pipe can carry off 1 L per minute. Ifall
the pipes are opened when cistern is full it is emptied

Pipe B in 2 hrs can fill 120/100 = 1.2 times capacity of cistern.

Tank was full when all the three pipes were opened. So, pipe C emptied liquid equal to 0. 8 + 1.2+1 = 3 times the capacity of the cistern in  2hrs.

3 times the capacity of cistern = 1 * 120

capacity of cistern = 120/3 = 40 Litres.
