The remaining length of the pipe is 14 m 78 cm

Step-by-step explanation:

Two pipes whose length are 7 m 25 cm and 8 m 13 cm joined by welding.

Total length of new pipe is sum of length of two small pipe.

New length of pipe = 7 m 25 cm + 8 m 13 cm

Using column addition method:-

                  7  m  25  cm

          +      8  m   13  cm

                 15  m   38  cm

New length of the combine pipe is 15 m 38 cm

Now cut 60 cm from the whole pipe.

Remaining length = 15 m 38 cm  - 60 cm

38 is smaller than 60.

So, borrow 1 m from 15 m and add to 38 cm

Remaining length = 14 m 138 cm - 0 m 60 cm

                  14  m  138  cm

         -         0  m   60  cm

                 14  m   78  cm

Hence, the remaining length is 14 m 78 cm
