Given :

Radius of planet A = r

and , radius of planet B = ( r / n^{2} )

To find :

Ratio of the time period of the revolution of planet A and B .

Solution :

Let T_{a} and T_{b} be time of revolution of planet A and B .

According's to the Kepplar ' s law ,

( T_{a} / T_{b} ) ^ 2 = ( radius of planet A / radius of planet B ) ^ 3

                    = [ r / ( r / n^{2} ) ] ^3

                    = n^{6}

T_{a} / T_{b} = ratio = n^{3}

Ratio of the time period of the revolution of planet A and B is  n^{3} : 1
