side of square= 64cm

Therefore,

perimeter of square plot= 256 cm.

Area of square plot = (64)^2

= 4096 sq.cm...eq.1

Perimeter of square plot=Perimeter of rectangular plot

Therefore, Perimeter of the rectangular plot= 256cm

2(length +breadth)= 257cm

2(70 +breadth) = 256 cm

140 +2breadth =256 cm

2breadth = 256-140 cm

2breadth = 156 cm

breadth = 78 cm

Therefore,

Area of rectangular plot= length × breadth

= 70 × 78

= 5460 sq.cm.....eq.2

Therefore,from eq.1 &eq.2:

Area of rectangular plot is more than that of square plot by:

5460-4906 = 554 sq.cm
