Two plots having the sane perimeter . One is a square of side 60m , while the other one is a rectangle whose breadth is 1.5 dam. Which plot has the greater area and by how much ?

1 dam= 10 m

1.5 dam= 15m

Perimeter of square= Perimeter of rectangle

4*S = 2(l+b)

4*60 = 2(l+15)

240 = 2l+30

240-30 = 2l

210 = 2l

L = 105m

Area of square = s*s

= 60*60

= 3600 square metre

Area of rectangle = l*b

= 15*105

= 1575 square metre

Hence, square has larger area.
