We have ,

→ Perimeter of square plot = Perimeter of rectangle plot.

==> 4 × side = 2( l + b ) .

==> 160 - 50 = 2l .

==> 2l = 110 .

==> l = 110/2 .

•°• l = 55 m.



→ Area of square = ( side ) ² .

= (40)² .

= 1600 m² .


→ Area of rectangle = l × b .

= 55 × 25 .

= 1375 m² .

Solution

It is Given in the question that two plots have same perimeter

Perimeter of Square Plot = Perimeter of rectangle plot

We Know that ,

Find Length of the rectangular Plot

Perimeter of Square = 4* Side

Perimeter of rectangle plot = 2( l + b )

4 * Side = 2 ( l + b )

⇒ 4 * 40 = 2 ( l + 25 )

⇒ 160 = 2l + 50

⇒160 - 50 = 2l

⇒ 2l = 110l = \frac{110}{2}

⇒ l = 55 m

Find area of Square and rectangular plot

→ Area of Square

⇒ a^2

⇒ (40)^2

⇒ 1600 m^2

→ Area of rectangle

l * b

⇒ 55 * 25

⇒ 1375 m^2

Therefore , the Square plot has larger area by (1600 - 1375) which is equal to 225m^{2}
