Kahlil Gibran poem's summary -
- Almustafa was asked by a woman to talk about joy and sorrow and he replies that joy removes the sorrow. The sorrow which made into one’s being, the more joy they contain. In the potter’s oven, the cup that holds one’s wine is burned and the lute (a musical instrument) which consoles the spirit is made up of wood cut by the knives. The joyous should look deep inside to the joy which gives sorrow, and the sorrowful should see that they are thinking and felt for the past delight. People debate which on is greater, joy or sorrow, but Almustafa declares them they are mixed up or inseparable. People are balanced only when they are empty and suspended on scales between them mostly.
Rabindra Nath Tagore poem's summary -
- Don’t tell and felt grief that she is not alive today. Be thankful and happy with the memories that you had when she was with you. The death of everyone is not about to turn the light off. When the light is turned off it also indicates the dawn has arrived.
