Two point charges +q and -q are placed at a distance d apart. What are the points at which the resultant electric field is parallel to the line joining the two charges?

Yes, but in terms of the force on a test charge placed at that point, it is an unstable equilibrium point. So, if you place a small negatively charged object at the center point between the positive charges, the slightest movement toward one charge will set it accelerating in that direction. If you place a small positively charged object there, then the slightest movement in a direction perpendicular to the line connecting the charges will send it off in that direction.
