CD=EB=7m

EA=AB-BE=12m -7m= 5m

Also BC=DE= 12m

Now,using Pythagoras theorem in triangle ADE.

AD²=AE²+ DE²

= 5² + 12²

= 25 +144

=169

AD=√169

Distance between top of the poles is 13m .

Answer :- \huge\bold{13}
