Two poles of equal height are standing opposite to each other on either side of the road which is hundred metre wide from a point between them on the road the angle of elevation of the top of the pole are 60° and 30° respectively find the height of the poles

here let's the height of poles be h
let the distance between BC be Xm and between CE be 100-x
so in ABC
AB/BC= tan60°
h/x= root 3
h= x root3
in DCE
DE/CE= tan30°
h/100-x=1/root3
h root 3= 100 - x
x root 3×root3=100-x (h= x root 3)
3x=100-x
3x+x= 100
4x=100
x = 25
so height of poles is h= x root 3
h= 25 root 3
