Two poles of equal heights are standing opposites to each other on either side of the road , which is 100m wide . The angles of elevation of the top of the poles, from a point between them on the
road are 30° and60°,respectively find the height
of the poles and the distance of the point from the poles.​

In △AOC,

tan60o=xh  ∴x=3h

In △BOD, 

tan30o=100−xh

31=100−xh      100−x=h3

100−h3=x   x=3h

∴100−h3=3h

∴h=253m

∴x=3h=3253
