Two poles of height 6 m and 11 m stand vertically on a plane ground. If the distance between
their feet is 12 m, find the distance between their tops.

height of the triangle = 11 - 6 = 5m

Use Pythagoras theorem

hypotenuse² = base² + perpendicular²

                H² = 12² + 5²

                H² = 144 + 25

                H² = 169

                H  = 13
