[ the first thing is to make their dinominators equal ]

[ as the questions asks for 2 rational no. we will multiply the numbers by 3 ]

 \frac{ - 5}{6}  =  \frac{ - 5 \times 4}{6 \times 4} =  \frac{ - 20}{24}   =  \frac{ - 20 \times 3}{24 \times 3}  =  \frac{ - 60}{72}

 \frac{ - 5}{8}  =  \frac{ - 5 \times 3}{8 \times 3}  =  \frac{ - 15}{24} =  \frac{ - 15 \times 3}{24 \times 3}   =  \frac{ - 45}{72}

[ Now, we had make their dinominators equal and we have 2 rational no. between them ]

♦ 2 rational numbers between them are

 \frac{ - 59}{72}  \:  \frac{ - 58}{72}

Or

 \frac{ - 47}{72}  \:  \frac{ - 46}{72}

[ you can also write any rational numbers between -60/72 and -45/72 ]
